The next meeting of the First Hill Improvement Association will be on Tuesday October 14, from 6:30pm to 7:30pm. The location is:
Harborview Medical Center – R&T Auditorium, 300 9th Ave.
We are pleased to be offering a comprehensive look at public safety in our community. We will hear presentations, and have lots of opportunity for Q&A, on the following topics.
- Safe Community. Captain Pierre Davis of the East Precinct and Captain Chris Fowler of the West Precinct will present on public safety issues in our community, and what is being done to address them. A long Q&A will follow their short presentations, so you’ll get a chance to elevate any concerns you may have about public safety on First Hill.
- Safe Streets: Dongho Chang of SDOT’s “Designing Safe Streets” program will provide an update on the work accomplished and analysis performed following the pedestrian fatality at 9th & James. A long Q&A will follow his presentation, so you’ll get a chance to ask questions and elevate any concerns you may have about pedestrian safety on First Hill.
Please take a moment to complete the public safety survey, results of which will be shared at the meeting.
We hope you’ll able to join us for this neighborhood update. Stay tuned for details, and invite your neighbors!
- Attendees will need to pay for parking in lots P1 or P2. Lot rates are $5 for 1-2 hours, $7 for 2-4 hours at $7. Street parking near Harborview Medical Center is free after 6pm.
