We know it’s been a while since there have been any updates about the redesign of First Hill Park. Fret not! There will be a public meeting about the 2nd phase of the design development on
Tuesday, February 28th
6:00pm – 7:30pm
Stimson-Green Mansion (1204 Minor Avenue)
By the end of phase 2, we plan to be 65% done with the overall design and construction documents. Phase 3 should begin at the beginning of May, with construction expected to start in January of 2018.
As usual, if you have any questions or comments, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
The next meeting of the First Hill Improvement Association will be on Tuesday June 10, from 6pm to 7:30pm. The location is:
The Polyclinic Madison Center
904 7th Ave, Seattle, WA 98104
5th Floor Auditorium
Our agenda includes presentations from representative of:
- SDOT, DPD, Department of Parks – Discussing plans to activate the public realm on First Hill through green streets and park-like spaces throughout the neighborhood.
- Arts Interruptions. In August First Hill will be buzzing with temporary public art installations. Find out more about the process and what we can expect from this exciting project.
- Seattle Neighborhood Greenways. Discussing the work they do to create safe, active, and healthy streets throughout Seattle. First Hill could be a great candidate for joining the coalition, and this presentation will help us better understand that opportunity.
The Polyclinic is offering free parking on a first come first served basis for this meeting on their surface parking lot at 7thand Marion. There is no need to pay at the parking station on the surface lot. Please note that parking under Madison Center or in the Marion Garage is unavailable for this meeting. Enter the building at the South entrance from the surface parking lot and proceed to the main lobby down the corridor. From there, take the elevator to the 5th floor auditorium, where the meeting will take place. Directions to the auditorium are marked in the elevator bay. If you have trouble accessing the building, please call Mike Hatchett at 206-841-4864.
We hope you’ll able to join us for this neighborhood update. Invite your neighbors!
